It is estimated that a suit, when made to measure, will take an average of 10 hours to craft. Tailoring a bespoke suit from Italian based Ermenegildo Zegna’s new service, however, will take at least 75. Made up of 150 pieces, and going through 200 stages, you will leave with a bespoke suite in a league of it’s own.
Not content with this alone, Zegna’s services don’t just stop there. Aiming to take their expertise to a new level, they can provide you with an entire one-of-a-kind wardrobe. As well as suits they can deliver shirts, knitwear, leather pieces, shoes, and even sportswear.
If that wasn’t jaw dropping enough you can choose from 900 fabrics for suits, jackets and overcoats, and over 230 fabrics for shirts. Most of which are made at the Zegna Lanificio textile mill which has been operating in Trivero, Italy, since 1910.
Suits will require a total of four meetings with their tailor to complete, but they will fly out to meet you wherever you are. If you’re concerned with privacy they also provide an autonomous atelier which you can visit in Via Bigil for complete discretion.
Alessandro Sartori, Ermenegildo Zegna’s artistic director, explains the service as being both the height of tradition, and the pinnacle of innovation. With a made to measure suit at €1,000, a bespoke suit might set you back between €5,000 and €10,000, but you will walk away feeling like a million bucks.
